BRONX BAR
Since acquiring Bronx almost three years ago, Bruno Bunn has focused his efforts on 'polishing the jewel' that is Cape Town's longest running gay venue. Upgrades have included large screen plasma TV's and a beefed-up sound system, revamped bathrooms done in slick metal and slate finishes. The venue itself has grown as well, resulting in an expanded upstairs cocktail bar and the introduction of a sexy private back bar for men only. CAFE MANHATTAN
Cafe Manhattan, the popular meeting, eating, drinking, dancing, chilling, chatting and longest standing venue in De Waterkant Village is still one of the most popular hangouts. There are two Cafe Manhattan's, one is situated on the corner of Waterkant and Dixon Streets in De Waterkant Village and is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 until late for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks or a late night snack. The other is on the Main Road in Sea Point which is better for lunches. Sunday evenings are popular at De Waterkant Manhattan's as they have live performances from about 9pm onwards.
